Apply for a Scholarship
Let's Write! Literary Art in Motion and Within Your Reach!
"STORYTELLING: THE ROUX OF LIFE THE WAY YOU WANT TO SEASON IT!" -dmillener
Scholarships
If you do not have the financial means to pay for all or part of the registration cost for the intensive, we still encourage you to apply. We have a broad definition of financial need that ranges from writers who do not have the money at all to writers who have the funds but can’t afford to use them for writing workshops.
If you can afford to pay for part but not all of the registration fee, please let us know the amount you can afford, then apply for a partial scholarship.
COVID IMPACT
We especially encourage writers who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply. Wherever you exist on the financial needs spectrum, apply and see what happens!
EQUITY
We welcome all ethnicities to apply for a scholarship if you have the need. But if you customarily identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) or any other identity that falls under this category, scholarships are available specifically for teens who identify as BIPOC. This does not mean that we limit the number of scholarships offered to BIPOC applicants. Teens of all backgrounds with financial challenges are encouraged to apply.
AVAILABILITY
A number of scholarships are reserved for each event. If an event sells out before the deadline, scholarships may be still available.
