#TWP's pop-up Literary Café is an unforgettable day of creativity and community for teen writers in our virtual writer's café to write, share their stories, and receive feedback in a supportive and creative space.

With cozy café vibes, interactive writing prompts, and mentorship from experienced writers, this pop-up experience is a space where teens can express themselves freely, share their work, and gain new inspiration.

Join us for a day of words, wonder, and writing! Please read the Guidelines before you join.
3rd Tuesdays (7 p.m. - 8 p.m.)
3rd Saturdays (10 a.m. - 11 a.m.)
"Create unforgettable memories and write unforgettable stories."
Guidelines
  1. Respect: Always be kind and constructive in your feedback.
  2. Listening: Actively listen without interrupting or projecting assumptions.
  3. Turn-Taking: Be mindful of time and allow equal space for everyone to share.
  4. Cameras: It is required that you keep your cameras ON in the Main Room and Breakouts. Feel free to turn them off while writing. If you cannot keep your camera on, we will give you 3 notifications after which we will remove you from the session. You won't be able to return that day but you can come back whenever you like.*
  5. Confidentiality: Maintain privacy and respect ownership of shared ideas.

*Rationale for cameras being on: having your cameras on develops a sense of connection, trust, and engagement within our writing community. Seeing each other and being able to read nonverbal cues when reading or speaking helps create a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere, especially when sharing and giving feedback on deeply personal work.

Our meetings happen the same time each month. If, for some reason, you are unable to have your cameras on during a session, please skip that session and return for the next session when you are prepared and able to be on-camera. If this happens, feel free to listen to the downloadable recordings that will be shared after each session. **Breakout sessions will not be recorded.**

Exceptions
  • Technical difficulties: If for some reason you begin to experience technical difficulties and are unable to be on-camera, please let us know in the chat and exit the meeting. Once your issues are resolved, you will have an opportunity to be readmitted into the session.
  • Emergency Circumstances: If you experience an urgent personal situation (e.g., a medical emergency, sudden family crisis, or an immediate safety concern), please notify us in the chat if possible and exit the session. You will have an opportunity to be readmitted when you are able, or you can review the downloadable recording later.
