Teens have the power through their words to educate, heal and illuminate the mind.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMITMENT!
Our partners take their literary citizenship seriously. They support, guide, connect, advise, commit, share, promote, book and brainstorm so that we can reach the mission and goals of #TeenWritersProject. They help us give teen writers the platform they need to share their voices with the world.
Current Supporters.
- Black Writers Collective. In exchange for serving as their fiscal sponsor, they agree to provide access to their pool of professional writers and editors for critiques, mentoring, and freelance work opportunities.
- Teen Author Boot Camp. They have conferencing/workshop infrastructure in place. We attend as featured presenters/speakers. This eliminates our need for conferencing and workshop expenses.
- Young Eager Writers. They have conferencing/workshop infrastructure in place. We attend as featured presenters/speakers. This eliminates our need for conferencing and workshop expenses.
- Teen Advisory Board. Our teen board are major decision-makers in our planning and goals. They give different perspectives about what appeals to 21st teens.
- Dallas Literary Festival’s Young Writers Contest. In exchange for exposure and relationship-building, the contest winners will be published in the #TWP Quarterly Lit Zine in the Summer edition.
- The Smart Project. This arts organization is collaborating with us on our mural project. We’ll need to revisit. They seem to be more concerned with monetary gain than the literary and visual arts ecosystem we’re trying to build.
Past Supporters.
- Your Content, 24/7. This is a board member’s consultancy. It provided social media management in that capacity for monthly payment. Moving forward, if the board member continues to create content, it will have to be as a part of Board duties.
- thawriter.biz. This is the founder as a writer. However, the duties performed under this consultancy should fall under the obligation of president/publisher and will no longer be acknowledged in any other capacity.
- Bluebell Creameries. When our organization began, they provided free ice cream for our Kick-off Party.
- Pixelberry Studios. This company gave a significant financial donation that sustains our organization even now. Initially, they seemed willing to offer marketing training and internships to our members in the future. However, their focus shifted to older writers.
- International Women’s Writing Guild. This relationship seemed promising. The ED committed to writing grants that could benefit both organizations but nothing panned.
