TEEN VOLUNTEERS
The #TeenWritersProject Teen Editorial Board is a highly collaborative and creative opportunity for teens to gain experience in leadership, life skill development, community service and reading, writing, social and cultural literacy.
Not only will you work collaboratively with other teen and adult members to brainstorm and develop programming, you will also help develop, create and publish our eZine, newsletter and anthologies, and actively engage with teens to recruit, encourage, support, lead and have creative fun! You need not be a writer or artist to apply.
Applications are accepted year-round. If accepted, orientation begins the first week of June, October and January. You will begin your volunteer service within one to two days after.

VOLUNTEER
You don’t have to be a writer, literary agent, editor, publisher, book reviewer, book club member, teacher, librarian, reader, or parent of all of the above to show literary citizenship. You just have to be a part of a community that promotes reading and writing with fidelity. And, in a ripple effect, your service will benefit everyone.
If you are 21 and above, #TeenWritersProject has many great new opportunities for you to get involved in the development of teen authors, freelancers, writers, screenwriters, copywriters, playwrights, poets and more! We are offering a chance for you to volunteer your time, talents and tenacity to change the lives of creative, young writers! In exchange for lending your support, you will be recognized as a leader in promoting a broader awareness of literary arts in all communities equally!

BE A TEACHING ARTIST
#TeenWritersProject is accepting applications for Teaching Artists! If you are a full-time college or university student studying in the Arts, Culture & Humanities majors and would like to support the reading, writing, social, cultural and creative literacy of teen writers age 14 to 19, apply to lead our Writing Wednesday master classes in our partner secondary schools!
As a Teaching Artist, you will visit one of our partner schools up to three times on Wednesdays to teach a master class to a group of teens ages 14-19. By the end of your time together, you will have guided them on writing a poem, speech, play, short story or other prose that can be published in our Lit Zine!
All of our Teaching Artists must complete our training program, a rigorous orientation that prepares and equips you with the tools, resources and strategies to teach our master classes professionally, creatively and with fidelity.
