“While there are organizations out there that support writers—and even teen writers—there are few ones out there that allow teens to take the lead in their own activism and self-advocacy. #TeenWritersProject allows me to write the stories I haven’t seen written before.” —Workshop Participant
Teen can write. Teens will write. They just need to be able to write from a place of compassion and spirit without consequence or judgment. —delmetria millener, founder
Craft. Our writing salons are a hybrid, collaborative and engaging safe space for teens to write, discuss, share, workshop, and vibe with other teens!
We build storytelling skills that inspire teens to tell the stories they want to read as a reflection of the world in which they live. They quickly understand how powerful creative and cultural expression can be.

Career. To break cycles of generational poverty and lengthy employment gaps, in addition to teaching the craft of writing, we teach teens the business of writing.
Using powerful storytelling as leverage, we work to build economic, racial, and social equity by giving teens access and opportunities to effectively start a career as a writer, smoothly transition into adulthood, and turn employment challenges into executable, profitable plans.
From their teen years through adulthood, teens will have gained the literary support necessary to maintain a successful career in writing.

We make it possible for teen writers to quench a literary thirst that they didn't even realize they've been aching to sate, creatively. —delmetria millener, founder
